Privacy Policy
Simply Divine Services, effective January 1, 2026
Simply Divine Services provides doula and birth/postpartum support services. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected through the intake for doula services, including through text/SMS messaging, scheduling system, and client platforms. It outlines how your information is used and protected, and what choices you have. This applies to clients and prospective clients.
By submitting a form, or opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not share information with the Company.
1. Information Collected
Information you give directly
Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
Intake and health-related information: due date or estimated birth window, pregnancy history, birth preferences, medical or mental health history you choose to share, provider/hospital information, and other details relevant to your care that you provide in intake forms, consultations, texts, emails, or calls.
Payment information: billing details processed through our third-party payment processor (we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves).
Communications: messages you send us through contact forms, email, phone, or text/SMS.

2. How Your Information is Used
To provide, schedule, and coordinate doula services (prenatal, birth, and postpartum support).
To communicate with you, including appointment reminders, scheduling, and time-sensitive labor/birth coordination.
To bill for and process payment for services.
To maintain client records consistent with our professional standards of practice.
To improve our Site and services.
To send you newsletters, class announcements, or promotional information, but only if you have separately opted in to marketing communications.
To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile phone number or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Text Message (SMS) Terms
Opt In
By Opting-in to SMS/text messages from the intake form or website, you agree to receive text messages from Simply Divine Services related to: appointment reminders and scheduling; time-sensitive labor and birth-support coordination; and care-related updates about your pregnancy or postpartum care; class or event announcements; promotional/marketing messages.
Opting in to receiving text messages is not a condition of purchasing any services. You may still be a client even if you opt out of SMS/texting. If you choose to opt out of messages, you will receive all communication through the Doulado platform.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies based on your care needs and, if applicable, your event/class activity. The number of messages will vary, with more frequent messages expected around your estimated due date. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. We are not responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier.
How to opt out
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or OPT-OUT to any message from Simply Divine Services, or send an email to hello@simplydivineservices.biz. After you opt out, you will receive one confirmation message, and then Simply Divine Services will stop texting you, except as needed to fulfill a specific transaction you have already requested. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact hello@simplydivineservices.biz for support.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messaging may not be a secure or confidential method of communication; please do not send highly sensitive health information by text but rather through the Doulado platform.
Health Information & HIPAA
Simply Divine Services is a doula practice and maintains HIPAA compliance, in accordance with insurance requirements. The information you share is personal. As a matter of professional standard and our own policy, the information is handled as HIPAA-protected health information. This means the company will:
Collect only the health-related information reasonably needed to provide safe, informed doula support;
Store client records, notes, and communications in secure, access-controlled systems;
Limit access to your information to those who are directly involved in your care, each of whom is bound by confidentiality obligations;
Retain records only as long as reasonably necessary for care continuity and our professional/legal record-keeping obligations, and dispose of them securely afterward.
If you are referred to Simply Divine Services by a hospital, midwifery practice, or other HIPAA-covered entity, that organization's HIPAA obligations govern its own handling of your records; please refer to their notice of privacy practices for details about their use of your information.
5. How Your Information is Protected
By using reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including [e.g., password-protected devices, encrypted storage, secure client-management software such as Doulado, and a HIPAA-compliant level Google platform. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Sharing Your Information
Your information will not be sold or rented. Information will only be shared:
For coordinating with your medical provider or birth partner, when the agreement has been signed;
With service providers who help operate the business (e.g., payment processors, scheduling or texting platforms, secure record-keeping software), who are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us;
With backup or co-doulas who may support your birth, on a confidential, need-to-know basis;
If required to comply with a law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the safety of you or others; or
In connection with a business transfer (e.g., if Simply Divine Services is acquired or its assets sold), subject to confidentiality protections.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Access and correction: You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by sending an email to hello@simplydivineservices.biz
Deletion: You may request that your personal information be deleted, subject to the Company’s legitimate need to retain certain records (e.g., for legal, safety, or billing purposes).
Text messaging: You may opt out at any time as described in Section 3.
Marketing emails: You may unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any marketing email.
Do Not Track: This Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
8. Cookies and Analytics
This Site may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our Site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children's Privacy
This Site and its services are intended for adults and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
